That's my motto when it comes to International History - Give up easily! I almost felt sorry for Mr Kwok during our tutorial today. The feeling quickly vanished though, once I started writing my new poem. The poor man sounded so upset that we thought a play was more important than his handout. (Well, it was, somewhat.) I was going to hide in the cupboard during his tutorial and fall asleep, but it's very hard to sleep standing up. I don't understand how the girls can manage to change in the cupboard! Anyway, Mr Kwok needs to learn to lighten up. Yet at the same time, our classmates should really stop cutting his class, and landing us in awkward situations as a result. There's only so many times an excuse can work, even on the gullible. School today was kind of okay really. Falling asleep during Mr Sowden's tutorial (the first time I've done that in any tutorial), watching the rain fall outside the window as Mr Kwok picks on us, talking about lame stuff with Ben and Jose over lunch, witnessing Aparna's practice for her audition, and the list goes on. Now if I could just get Mr Kwok's essay done, because I do feel some guilt about it. Et je suis toujours content de revoir mon bon ami, qui est si innocent. Il m'a convaincu que des personnes parfaitement gentilles existent. Have I mentioned how listening to O-Zone's dance music has made me realise that Romanian is quite a pleasant language, aurally speaking? Also, Faber & Faber are now my favourite publisher, because they've published all of Kundera's work, and not a few drama and poetry anthologies too. Mind you, we're talking about collected works here. I'm reading the plays of Alan Bennett, Christopher Hampton and Tom Stoppard at the moment. I like modern drama! |
