Groundhog Day/Imbolc/Candlemas/Purification Day/Inspire Your Employees To Excellence Day
2005-02-02 @ 10:26 p.m.

Just finished reviewing the VJC contributions for the joint publication. Why do teenagers enjoy writing about love so much? I passed about half of the pieces, failed a quarter, and put another quarter down for consideration. I think my comments were too harsh, but too bad, those were the things that leapt to mind after reading each piece. I've just remembered that we're supposed to have written something for CWC tomorrow. Won't bother since I'm going to the wake again. Have been reading the introduction to Under The Greenwood Tree, which strikes me as saying a lot about very little. I feel strangely accomplished for having coloured the top half of my stapler white during Mr Kwok's tutorial. I did the top yesterday, but the coat was spotty, so I dabbed the whole thing all over again today. Right now it looks quite interesting. Chernise thinks it looks Rafflesian, which would be true if there some part of the stapler were black. Got back the essay and the book review I did for Mr Kwok, B/B+ and B- respectively. That exceeded my expectations really. Plus I finally figured out the mistake in my power series worksheet. Will I ever cease to amaze myself? Apparently not. Next Tuesday, I want to sit in some café with a few friends from school and while away the hours in idle conversation. Or we could just exist in companionable silence. It's been a while since I've done that with any of them. Humbert Square has become the reason I go to school. How delightfully random! Welcome to the circle of high society, Humbert Square. Drenched in irony, we are.
