Dan's really strange sometimes. Like when he waves his MC at me and feigns laughter for my benefit because he doesn't have to attend PE. For the record, I didn't mind this week's PE, because I don't mind playing games with our class guys, who are generally a nice bunch of people. Very annoyed with school for no particular reason, just very tired of it all, but more so than normal. What I need is a chance to chill out, like we did at Liling's house last year. I want a party! Now! Anyway, I attended the wake today after all, because my dad's flying off tomorrow so they went today too. I think I'm going again on Thursday, which has made them unhappy, but I don't care. Besides, I've realised that a lot of the things I do that are related to church make them unhappy. For example, they used to complain that my worship practices ended too late. The ironic thing is that I don't particularly mind when it comes to church stuff. Call it double standards if you want. Ah well, I'm sick of having to explain to them what I feel, so I'm just going to block them out. They don't seem to realise that I'm going to be 18 soon. Everything can be traced back to the drama we did years ago as part of an outreach event. I've never forgotten the attitude my parents adopted towards the whole thing, which made me mad then, and still does now.
