Kansas Day/Puzzle Day/Freethinker's Day/Bubblegum Sculpture Day

Am listening to Sleepthief now, which is really quite good, judging by the three songs playing on the site (Eurydice, Desire Of Ages, Tenuous). Sort of a cross between Amethystium and Enya. Need to find a way to rip the music off the site, but I think it'll be hard. Even looking at the source for the site isn't helping. Maybe I'll just be a good boy and go hunt for the album when it comes out. Alternatively, some kind soul could get it for me. That's The Dawnseeker, by Sleepthief. I need to find Evermind! That's the only CD I really want to get my hands on now. Not even Auracle tops any of the Amethystium albums. Dan, Jeremy, Thong and I have been assigned the task of reviewing VJC's contributions for the joint publication. I already forsee conflicts over different standards and tastes. I've glanced over the submissions, and picked out some stuff that I think is good and some that just strikes me as thrash. Will go through it more systematically before Wednesday.

Had practice for the alumni item again today, which if you ask me, was really a waste of time. The only productive part was when Sicheng was around to critique, then everything just went downhill from there. The performance is less than one week away, but things are okay. It's not like we'll get rotten vegetables thrown at us after our two songs! Today's practice for main service worship went even better than yesterday's, so thank God for that. Going to teach the congregation Who Am I, so the YE people who know the song must sing louder! The problem with that song is that it's hard to repeat, because of the structure. There are chord progressions between choruses and verses that make it hard to do simple repeats. Even repeating the chorus feels awkward. Guess it's just one of those songs...
