Slept at 4 am this morning because I was doing an Economics essay. Oddly enough, I haven't felt really tired all day until after dinner. Have another paper due tomorrow, a practical criticism of an extract from the first chapter of The Return Of The Native, but I think I'll hand that in late. Too tired to think properly right now, so prepare yourself for a disjointed entry. So many J1s want to join Guitar! The number applying is like three times the current ensemble membership, and that's only counting those with musical background. Frankly, I don't see why Dan has to make such a big deal about the people with no musical background, even if he empathises with their situation due to his own experience. If I recall correctly, he's the only one in our batch with no musical background at all. So it's not like we have a history of taking in people with no musical background. Besides, there's dozens of CCAs to choose from in RJC, so why agonise over such a minor matter? It's not like those J1s are going to thank you for it. Speaking of Guitar, I love my second SYF piece! It's got nice jazz chords, and it's easy to learn. I lucked out again for PE today, because all we did was jump around a lot. Then after practice, I had the good fortune to bump into Sophia along the way to the MRT, so I got her to keep my guitar for me. Mr Kwok's remarks can be so priceless sometimes. Consider today's tutorial: Mr Kwok: "Don't bite the finger that feeds you." Anyone wants to bring a tape recorder to his next tutorial? Haha... |
