Wright Brothers Day/Underdog Day/Cookie Cutter Day/Saturnalia
2004-12-17 @ 9:59 p.m.

I just heard from Vaish about the amazing donation they got today for Somethingood. Wow. Stuff like that's just incredible. Maybe the human race isn't that messed up after all. In less earth-shattering news, I have no social life. I know, I've complained about it before, but still, I can't help it. Like I grumbled to Vaish some time ago, the problem with December is Christmas. This commercialised festive season is calculated to depress people with no social life. In my case, that translates to being single, and having not a few friends who just happen to be attached. Not that there's anything particularly wrong with being attached, but it does render them unavailable. The further through Vanity Fair I get, the more sympathetic I feel towards Rebecca Sharp, who is described on the back cover as "one of the wickedest - and most appealing - of women in all literature".
