I thought yesterday's coach ride was bad, but today's was worse, if that's possible. When I wasn't asleep, my head was spinning on account of our winding route. I saw some guy from school in Sydney today, but I can't recall his name at the moment. Saw him again when we made a stop at Scenic World, which happens to be a blatant bid for the tourist dollar. Only a tourist attraction could market a train ride down an incline of 52 degrees that lasts less than a minute as something fantastic. Needless to say, yours truly was none too impressed. A rollercoaster would have been more thrilling, like the one in South Korea which rotates 540 degrees! The scenery of the Blue Mountains, amazing as it is, simply isn't enough to justify a trip to Scenic World. The Jenolan Caves were much better. Nothing like walking under a vast, unsupported rock ceiling to get the adrenaline pumping. Trekking through the caves does get tedious after a while, and somewhat cold too, but at least it's more interesting. Incidentally, why does Pizza Hut cost less overseas, but taste better?
