Picasso Day/International School Library Day/Labour Day (New Zealand)
2004-10-25 @ 11:51 p.m.

Results are out, and the only good grade I've got is the one I expected to get all along. (Damn, that sounds a bit arrogant. Heck, those who know me will understand.) Two Bs and two Cs is about average for the cohort, I think. Have mixed feelings about English right now. On one hand, the present situation is what I've always wanted to happen at least once or twice. On the other hand, knowing that you've disappointed someone other than yourself isn't a nice feeling. What is a minor triumph in GP in comparison? Paltry really. Add to that the strange strife of wishes fomented anew yesterday, and today was an altogether miserable one. To my credit, I thought I hid it remarkably well though. I've adopted a new role model, Diggory Venn. The Return Of The Native is like a study in how not to love, and Venn is the only character whose attitude towards relationships resonates with mine at this moment in time. This is not love though, and may be but a passing fancy. Doesn't make it any less trying. Come on, just three more months and I can perhaps fall for a girl in my junior class, despite all the objections of the girls in class.
