No school today because we were preparing for Open House. I felt really unnecessary most of the time, which was partly my own fault for lacking the initiative to offer help. Passivity is a very comfortable state of mind sometimes. It didn't help that it started raining. When it rains, one feels the need to be pensive, to listen to the rain beating down on everything. The pleasantest moment of the day can be summed up by Hardy's words: "a strange strife of wishes, for and against". This is my déjà vu, and that sucks big time. Anyway, we finally handed up the PW report today, which is a weight off all our minds. Now for the presentation, which we'll probably be doing at Mel's house on Sunday. Open House tomorrow, and I don't really feel like being there in the midst of the crowd...
