I'm sitting at my computer again, waiting for the effects of a Bacardi coke to kick in. Happiness today came with a price tag of nearly $100. I bought Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy ($60), Sophie Ellis-Bextor's Read My Lips ($18.90), and Natalie Imbruglia's Left Of The Middle ($18.90). I didn't even go to the MPH book fair at the Expo, so that curbed my spending. Sloman doesn't count because buying it didn't make me happy! How amusing. My mum's just told my dad she's going to give me a 1:1 Bacardi coke mix tomorrow night, to knock me out. The carnival in church today wasn't much fun for me, since I'm not into this whole carnival thing. Just bought a lot of stuff to eat and drink, and stoned while everyone was running about. I could have gone in for the service, but I don't like having to listen to sermons. I'd much rather talk about stuff with people. You know, controversial stuff, like predestination. Anyway, about the social climbing, I was thinking about Victorian England! Ultimately, it really depends on whether you're happier where you are than where you could be... |
