Independence Day (Chile)/Ganesh Chaturthi/Long Playing Record Day/Apple Harvest Festival (Wisconsin)/Spud Day (Idaho)/Apple Harvest Festival (Connecticut)

I just spent about an hour sifting through some hilarious stuff. Like demotivators from Despair.com, and this site full of wacky stories. Apparently, some guy named Jack Hall built musical instruments and their cases out of matchsticks! According to the story, they worked remarkably well, being performed live on BBC Television. As for the demotivators, I like the collection so much I'm saving all the images into my computer. A lot of them are recommended for "disaffected college students", which covers (almost) everyone visiting my blog. Birthday presents, perhaps? Oh yeah, speaking of pictures. Is anyone interested in seeing a pictorial representation of the Periodic Table? The images are gorgeous, even if they don't always have very obvious connections to the element they depict. Ideal for use as display pictures on Messenger!
