Was I the only person who couldn't catch the drift of today's History tutorial with Mr Kwok? It was even weirder than usual! Just finished rewriting bits of my presentation. Trying to commit it to memory now, which is a bad idea according to Mr Quenot. I probably can't remember all of it anyway, so I'll just jot down 30 words' worth of prompts. I'm watching Dead Certain tomorrow! Despite all the odds, four of us are going down tomorrow. Not surprisingly, three of us also went to watch The Woman In Black together. I'm starting to see a pattern emerge, like something coming out of the loom. Thinking of Silas Marner and today's tutorial, which was the most engaging discussion our class has had for a long while. Which is more important, thought or feeling? I'm quite taken by the idea that feelings are instinctive, common to all, so they point us towards fundamentally moral courses of action, which are further nudged based on other people's feelings. Think about it for a while tonight (or maybe just sit there and feel). English on Fridays gets a bit dull sometimes. Maybe things'll take a turn for the better when we do The Return Of The Native, but that might be asking too much. Ah, who cares right now? I'm damn psyched up for French tomorrow. I will not flub my lines when I reply to a question! (Easier said than done...) |
