Just watched this unscientific show about an earthquake in California that measures 10.5 on the Richter scale. It's entitled, unimaginatively so, 10.5. Was that Hugh Jackman I saw as the governor's ex-husband? The ending was way cool though! A chunk of California just split off, and water rushed in to fill the gap, creating this new island. I wish something like that would happen in the USA, then maybe Bush would stop blowing other people to smithereens. I mean, it's kind of hard to aim when you're being distracted by explosions going off behind you. Anyway, I took Mark's advice, and went to have my hair cut. Thinned the top without cutting my hair short, and it does reduce the curling of the spikes. Thanks Mark! Was feeling quite pissed off earlier during dinner because of stuff that happened in church. Actually, I still am, but I've buried it deeper for now. I hate it when people use God's words as emotional blackmail. They might not intend it that way, but I'll be damned if it doesn't. Why can't we all just compromise a little? It's not even a sin, just an expression of my personal reservations. At the heart of Christianity lies the cross, and it is love that is the essential core of our faith. I don't think what happened today displayed a very loving attitude. Everyone knows it takes a lot for me to get worked up about church stuff, which I'm usually infinitely patient about. God, give me a break, because I really don't need to deal with crap like this. (Damn it, you were the one who changed tack within two weeks, why do I have to feel guilty for it? Isn't it ironic that most of us have secretly complained about you?) I will pray, but I feel like I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't... This week: Resurrect Romance Week Thanks For All The Gifts Week |
