Today's National Day celebrations were so hopelessly boring! Picture this: Students are being led around the campus by councillors. Various venues are used to recreate landmarks in Singapore like the Esplanade, which incidentally was LT3. It's all part of some lame The Amazing Race clone, except the race is around Singapore, a small island condensed into the even smaller RJC grounds. My class, or at least those of us who were in school, gave the whole thing a miss. There were 15 of us in school today. Five went to listen to Chorale singing at the "Esplanade" because Chernise was performing. The other 10 were scattered around school doing their own thing. Chun Long, Mel, Thong and myself ended up playing Risk with Claudia and Sophia. This was one of the few times where I was in a strong position right from the start, though that was thanks to the fact that we had informal alliances between the four of us. They scrapped the missions after one round, which was kind of sad, because I'd have enjoyed backstabbing Thong later. Haha! If my memory serves me correctly, three councillors came to (attempt to) chase us up to the hall to watch the finale of the celebrations. Sorry to Kay Hwee, Shawn and Karl for not listening!
