Today's performance was quite a success, especially the reprise we did later for Mr Purvis during the GP tutorial. Loved 1A13A's performance too, especially Mark Chen's highly dramatic portrayal of Scarus. It was so very Mark Chen, for want of a better way of describing it. Sigh, Ms Lim won't be teaching us for much longer. I have a fascination with the idea of a black rose. I'm now thinking of writing a bunch of haikus based on various rose colours and their symbolisms. I particularly like blue, which my research tells me can be linked to the idea of impossibility. Then I pretended to help with the banner for Arts Faculty. Pretense consisted of making helpful comments on how to improve Thong's design, and grinding chalk into newspaper. Didn't get to paint anything, as I had the misfortune of bumping into Ms Ho, who recognises me now and reminded me to go practise my reading in front of her. I hate doing that! She is remarkably forgetful. She was searching for a red pen during CWC, to mark off a new section for me to read. Then she got distracted looking for the next poem, forgetting about the pen in the process. Not to mention that she told me for the first time that I was reading Another Night On The Patio! It's my best poem, in my opinion, and one of less than five that I'd dare to read in public. It's terribly long though, need to pace myself. God help me! There's a rehearsal tomorrow after the National Day celebrations, which means I can't go out. I'm not a happy boy... |
