Was less stoned today than I was yesterday, partly because I finally caved and got some sleep. I slept at midnight, which is more than an hour earlier than my usual bedtime in the wee hours of the morning. That night was just weird. After 3 am, I didn't feel like sleeping anymore. Now, I just want to sleep (and sleep and sleep some more). Today's Economics lecture test wasn't a total disaster. (It was an open-book test.) Left two diagrams blank, and that's all, I think. As for the International History lecture, I think Mrs Pandian should stop leaving blanks in her lecture notes (which are way better than Mr Kwok's anyway). Maybe she'd be able to get through the lecture notes faster without having to repeat blocks of it for us to copy out. Mathematics was the best part of the day. I was going to skip it, this being the useless single period lecture, but Ms Chen's lecturing us for complex numbers! I miss Ms Chen's teaching. Mr Tay's a nice person, but he's not as relaxed. Our class will teach him a thing or two before the year's over! I also finally completed the last question of Tutorial 8B, which means I can start slacking during his tutorial for about a week. Mathematics tutorials have never looked so good... Literature Day was fun! The eating at the end was anyway. Mr Purvis likes the stuff we put up on the board, although understandably, he doesn't like the whole school knowing what a grumpy old man he is during our tutorials. Haha! Jabberwocky parodies are so funny, especially this one I found called Jabbercandy. Anyway, the fancy dress parade was quite a success, considering we came up with the whole thing less than half an hour before the thing started! Posing, wiggling my butt at the audience, flexing my arms. The crazy things I do for 1A01A, which also includes searching for information Jabberwocky at 2 am! We got third place. The class that won was damn funny! They had Karl Su playing this white ewe, getting chased by a black ram. There was cotton wool dropping everywhere! Hilarious. As for the food that came after, I think our class ended up eating most of the duck we bought to be our "pound of flesh". There were jellies to, because of some Roth writing that Ka Tsai remembered. Sophia is into weird food combinations! Like duck with chocolate and tomato with chocolate. There was chocolate fondue, courtesy of our wonderful faculty committee. Strawberries, apples, bananas, marshmallows, all making for a chocolate lover's paradise. I ate one whole plate of bananas slices covered in chocolate that Yee Meng brought over to our table, because everyone else was either feeling full or guilty. I, being neither, ate the whole thing up. Naturally, I now regret it on hindsight, because I can't afford to put on more weight! Shall eat a meagre, healthy lunch tomorrow. Rehearsing for the Afternoon Of Poetry & Music again, which is sure to be a success, because you-know-who is our teacher-in-charge. Little Miss I-know-better-than-you is going to be upset when she learns that the banner can't be done by tomorrow, unless she accepts our standards of (im)perfection... |
