I like the lime sherbet ice-cream that the RP stall is selling! The party during French today was a fun way of killing 30 minutes of the lesson. French is devolving into an utterly boring way of spending two hours. Strangely, even though I've been getting more sleep than usual this week, I've been feeling more tired. I'm tired of a lot of things today. Woke up in the morning, and I was tired of the face in the mirror. So I shaved off my moustache. I look different, somewhat younger. Interestingly, only three people noticed that I was clean-shaven. In order of realisation - Aparna, Vaish, and Daniel. If anyone else realised, they didn't mention it to me. I'm tired of school too. The walk from RJC to Buona Vista MRT is particularly dreary. I was terribly bored after school today when (almost) everyone (who mattered just that little bit more to me) disappeared right after Mr Kwok's lesson. Thank goodness I bumped into Chernise, who dragged me along to buy stuff for the French party with Kelly and Manu. Otherwise, I'd have spent a sad hour or so on the train, contemplating. I like to talk to people, really I do. Under all the bitching, my other self waits to be discovered. Trouble is, I'm not very sociable. In a big group, I'm more likely to cast snide remarks at everyone than talk honestly. For God's sake, I even toss the odd nasty comment her way, so that ought to tell you how snarky I can get. I just like doing it! Lousy excuse, but maybe it's because there'd be nothing to say to everyone otherwise. It's not easy to find friends whom you can talk to honestly. I wish I could talk to more of you like that, because I think it matters. I think it matters what we say to each other, even if some of us will never meet again after these two years. I can't quite do it yet. Can you? I can't quite make up my mind if everyone'll hate me or love me by the end of the year, what with all the sniping I do every other moment. (Note to self: You know you've hit rock-bottom when even Shiqi pokes fun at you.) Well, better to be loved than hated, but far better to be hated than forgotten, I guess... This week: Space Week |
