My dad's bought a damn cool pair of Bang & Olufsen earphones! I want them, along with an MP3 player, lots of CDs, lots of books, lots of chocolate, lots of a lot of things. I'm evolving into a materialistic guy with expensive tastes, who likes to live the high life. I should start giving tuition to increase my spending power. I've found my latest favourite song - She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5. The lyrics are kind of sad though. Sad, but beautiful. Speaking of love, this one's for Sophia. The Greeks have four words for the different kinds of love which can be said to exist. Agape (spiritual love), storge (familial love), philia (love between friends), and eros (sexual love). That brings me to the interesting topic we're discussing for Civics now, which is sex. Mr Purvis obviously enjoys it. I'll leave you to interpret that ambiguous comment however you want to. He brought an anthology of sexy poems today, and there's this really good one by E.E. Cummings that he made copies of for the class. Lovely, very evocative stuff. Incidentally, guess who was described by him today as an "old biddy"? I'll give you a hint: Sly, crafty, old rat. Civics today, as Daniel might put it, was tasty indeed.
