Teddy Bear's Picnic Day/Intern Appreciation Day/Statehood Day (Wyoming)/Lotus Festival (California)
2004-07-10 @ 11:56 p.m.

RMUN ended around 11 pm, but thankfully, we didn't have to climb the front gate. It was interesting to hear the J2s say today was good, considering how Day 1 was supposedly this huge disaster. No matter. Spent most of today sitting around after doing a bit of courier work. Do you think it's flirtation when a delegate hands you a note written in pink ink, tells you pointedly that it's for you, and all it says is, "Can we please hav 2 bottles of water? Thks =)" Good grief. Most normal people would just ask for the damn water. Never mind, at least they had high standards. Haha! They didn't really need us for the technical runs, but I'm not complaining. In any case, the fashion parade was a drag, except maybe for the UK and the US delegations' performances. Can't remember if there was anything else worth watching though, just those two stick in my head because they were the last. The crisis video for the General Assembly was a laugh riot! We will never look at Chun Long in the same way again. Priceless, I tell you. If we ever do a class video, we must ask Claudia for the clip of Chun Long's stunning acting debut as White, leader of Whitewash. "I want to be white!" Haha...

Haven't started on my recreative writing, but some people have suggested that I send in the dialogue as a parody of Harold Pinter. Anyway, a few of us spent some time writing two scenes in pseudo-Pinter style. It's basically what was going on during English on Friday. It's damn hilarious! Mel's going to post it on the class blog. We're thinking of writing everyone into it eventually, then we can perform it. Wonder if Mr Purvis will mind playing himself? We're sending it the two scenes as a group effort for the recreative writing exercise. Think he'll like it a lot. On a side note, I'm sort of irritated with someone now. Can't say who, can't say why. Can't blame you though, I might have done the same. Even so, suffice to say that after what we'd talked about before, you ought to have known better. Anyway, how's this for a random piece of trivia? Today's the first time in my life I've ever shaved. Okay, so technically I snipped my beard off with a pair of scissors, but let's not get fussy. Stubble feels stubbly, for lack of a better word.
