The writing competition today was dumb. The word limit was 150-200 words, which didn't leave much room for a dramatic account of the given news incident, which was about a group of 13 Russian miners getting trapped underground and then rescued from near-certain peril. I liked my first sentence, which come to think of it now, was really quite ordinary. Doing my assignment now! (More writing! God help me.) Yes, that assignment, the very one and the same that's been dragging on since the month before last. RMUN today wasn't too bad. Claudia, it was not, I repeat, not a disaster. Things could have been worse, and half the delegates won't give a damn about what happened today within a month. Besides, some of the delegates were crap, and if we're going to get particular about this being a mock UN conference, they should have been barred anyway. I am sick of moving chairs into LTs though. Was initially going to slack the rest of the afternoon away after the debates had started, but in the end I decided to act as a courier in LT2. That wasn't too bad, although I wish the notes being passed around had been more exciting. Maybe I'll go over to the General Assembly instead on Saturday, because I heard it was mudslinging season in there. Plus homosexual rights is more interesting to hear people debate about than unemployment! I'm sure Ben will agree. I think I'm going to zone out during lessons tomorrow, judging by the fantastic speed with which the essay is progressing... |
