King Kamehameha Day/Summerfest (Illinois)/Banana Split Festival (Ohio)/Blueberry Festival (Texas)/Sunfest (Oregon)/Strawberry Festival (Indiana)/Corn Festival (Louisiana)/SummerFest (West Virginia)/National Day Of Mourning
2004-06-11 @ 11:45 p.m.

We got caught this morning! What went wrong with the brilliant scheme? I heard there was this group that bribed a security guard to let them into the TV Room at Block 13, where none of us stayed. No teacher should have been patrolling there. Jia Ren and I sneaked into that block to check it out, after our group was busted in the girls' pantry. I think he ended up sleeping there, because it's air-conditioned. The NJC teachers are such wet blankets! It was the last night of the seminar, and we know rules are defenestrated on last nights. Just because we had to tea with Mr Tharman in the morning...

Closing Ceremony
It was helluva lot shorter than the opening ceremony! Watched a video of the past few days, which sort of helped to wake me up. (I've been sleeping for half the day actually...) JJC will be organising next year's seminar, hope my juniors will have more fun then. NJC teachers are such bores!

Tea with Minister
Yet another utter waste of time. We stood around, waiting for him to arrive, so that we could stand around and pretend to listen to him. Heck, it was a struggle just pretending to hear him, let alone listen. The food was terrific though, so that made up for it, somewhat.

Check Out
Frantic packing and hurried farewells sums it up. We promised to keep in touch, but it's going to be hard. It's the same problem you have with OGs, you just kind of drift apart after a while. It's even harder here because we're all in different schools! It's such a shame, because some of them are really fun people. Like my fellow snark, Sonya, or sunny Audrey (so unlike her namesake, my sister), or Jia Ren, who always seems so blur. Not to mention Francis and his antics! (Yes, he's the SJI guy.) Miss you guys already. Hope everyone'll be at the proposed gathering...

I've realised that the seminar is really conducive to sparking off relationships. Three people in my group are already interested in someone else from the other groups. It's damn funny! I saw Yvonne Chua from the days of NYPS. Never thought of it before, but I can see why someone might fall for her, though she looks a lot frostier than our primary school days. Sigh, my Internet connection's down again, and there doesn't seem to be a quick-fix solution this time round. Technology can be such a pain in the ass sometimes...
