The Odd Couple was excellent, a very well-executed production! The script is fantastic, the dialogue is so snappy and witty. Now I feel inspired, thinking of all sorts of nasty retorts for use in class. It was priceless, sitting there listening to Bernard spouting lines about homosexuality, not to mention that he even denied onstage that he was gay. The Spanish accents were a laugh riot. I liked the part when a cup was flung and broken, and a plate of spaghetti was flung across the stage and broken. Don't know why, I just feel breaking stuff onstage is cool. I got my mum to buy more mints from Marks & Spencer, along with the sinful chocolate-smothered biscuits I saw the last time. Finally, a breakfast I actually don't mind eating! Just found out that Edenborn, the sequel to Idlewild, is coming out soon in hardcover. Will be a while before it makes its way to Singapore, but I will wait patiently. My Christmas present perhaps? Argh, supposed to pray during service tomorrow for the youth ministry, but I can't quite decide if I should write out the prayer beforehand, or should I just come up with the general things I want to touch on. I don't even know if I'm still needed to do back-up tomorrow. On a brighter note, today was the first day of the holidays! It's time to party! As the Vengaboys of yesteryear put it, "We're going to Ibiza, back to the island. We're gonna have a party in the Mediterranean Sea." Now if only that were true... |
