Just got back home after the rugby match. At full-time, the score was 3-3, which was just hilarious. RJC scored during extra time though, so we beat ACJC 6-3! Good job ruggers. Didn't feel like cheering because I don't particularly like rugby, nor did my voice permit me. Oh yeah, I'm sure a lot of people have sore throats now after cheering their hearts out. Good for them, but that's just not me. After seeing what I saw today, and connecting it with what Mr Purvis has been saying to us, suffice to say that I'm a little perturbed by the entire notion of the Rafflesian spirit. Does cheering equate to having school spirit? Perhaps. Walking to Bishan after the match was fun though! Started out with Claudia and some classmates, then bumped into our seniors and Ben at the bus stop, so I joined them instead for dinner. Damn funny! We trekked all the way from Thomson Road to Lornie Road, and then we hopped onto a 156 that was full of the police officers from the Police Academy. Now I need to start on my European History essay! Thinking of taking a blue slip after English lecture tomorrow, because I figure most of the lessons tomorrow are just a waste of my time. Taking one on Friday too, because I've got to go back to MOELC to collect a prize. I'm devolving into such a slacker. I mean, I was the one who never skipped anything at the start of the year. Haha, after escaping from one helluva boring Mathematics lecture, everything's gone downhill from there. Surprisingly though, my mum's not violently objecting to it. Cool, maybe I can like do this more often. Now if I could just get my hands on my ATM card, then I'll be going out everyday. A true blue "Orchard kid"! By the way, Pre-University Seminar accomodations are excellent! Single rooms in the newest residential building at NUS! Prince George's Park Residences, what a swanky name. The food at today's reception was delicious, even though this was just a pre-seminar briefing. Now I know where all the taxpayers' money is going... |
