Time to start singing sad songs again. Should I, when I know all will turn to nothing? I wish I knew what to say, but maybe it's better this way. No Lydgate and Rosamond for me, sadly. Nor Dorothea and Casaubon, I'm not that noble. I just wish things were different, somehow. Would it make a difference? Listening to Amici Forever's rendition of Canto Alla Vita. Switching to Lesiëm's In Taberna Mori in a moment, because I'm feeling psyched up. If I can't run, at least I can sing. I think my timing today was over 15 minutes. Guess what? After three laps, I'd only clocked 5:50. How? By pacing Jun Kai. I promptly decided to slack after that. Come to think of it, if I didn't walk at all, I just might pass! Oh well, time to go running and swimming during the holidays. Can't resist my Marks & Spencer mints and toffees though, need to buy a new packet soon. Will buy and bring it to any class gathering during the holidays, so that each of us can have more with half the class gone! Aren't I thoughtful, albeit in a warped sort of way? French contrôle today was a piece of cake. I realise I sound very arrogant every time I talk about anything to do with French. Honestly though, I can't see how studying helped me today. As far as I can remember, not studying probably would have been better. Less stress, better frame of mind, work better. Then we had elections for the French club executive committee. It was funny, because the number of people who wanted to run equalled the number of posts available. It was reminiscent of PAP-style elections. Not because of the number of people running, but how the whole thing was like one big walkover to RJC. Is there even anyone in our club who's not from RJC? PW today with Mr Purvis again was a reminder of what he expects from me, which is somewhat sad, because I don't have as much faith in myself as he seems to. Good luck to me trying to do three essays this week. At least our Economics presentation doesn't have to be done this term. Mr Sowden forgot about it again! Oh, today we let Ms Lim read our slash version of Antony & Cleopatra, which she labelled as having no literary merit! Haha, it's just bawdy humour if you ask me. This week: Good Stewardship Week |
