Still doing my essay, which just goes to show how behind I am in my work. Got my first B for a practical criticism, the Middlemarch piece. Finally, proof that I'm not all that good. So ironically, I'm happier than I would have been if I'd got an A! Pretty warped logic, but only someone in my position could understand. Need to do a piece on both my texts before the holidays, not to mention an essay on Italian and/or German unification. To quote my senior, "I can't see how I'm going to do the 'A' Level paper." Seriously, I think I have a higher chance of scoring in Mathematics than History, which is quite sad if you consider how lousy my mathematics was in secondary school. Sigh, I wonder what time I'm going to finish with my essay. Maybe I'll go make myself a cup of coffee, which will be the second time I've drunk coffee that wasn't from Starbucks or Coffee Bean! My essay is getting to be a lot longer than I'd originally expected. The upside is that it shows I've been thinking about the question. The downside is that I'm going to sleep even later than I'd expected. I'll be feeling like an "unperson" tomorrow, if you get my drift...
