Stars And Stripes Forever Day/Receptionists Day/Motorcycle Riders Day/Acorn Festival (North Carolina)/Maifest (Washington)/Lilac Festival (New York)/Trout Days (Minnesota)

Elation, 15 times over. Blogger is terrible! The invitations always screw up at least once for almost everyone I've invited to our class blog. Just spent 15 minutes trying to get Ka Tsai in. Finally succeeded, but it means that it's now too late for me to get any reading done. Things to read: Calvocoressi (for International History), Middlemarch (for pleasure), Les Fleurs Du Mal (for pleasure), Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit (for pleasure), Sacrifice (for pleasure), The Da Vinci Code (for pleasure), readings (for work). There's a ton of other stuff that I'm plowing through right now. I am incapable of reading one book at a time, which probably isn't a good thing, but what the heck. At last count, I was working my way through about 30 books, not necessarily all in the same language. Maybe I'll start on my Latin or Quenya again. If there's one thing I want to do before I do, it's to read a piece of Latin writing, and understand it. I want to be multi-lingual, but not for any practical reason. I just like the idea of being fluent in several languages. Don't know why, it's just one of those things. Parent-teacher meeting tomorrow, crossing my fingers in the vain hope that neither Mr Purvis nor my parents start swapping little vignettes about me, or I'll just die of mortification.
