Nurses Day/National Day Of Prayer/Freud Day/No Diet Day/Tulip Time (Iowa)
2004-05-06 @ 9:05 p.m.

How strange. An utter and complete stranger has just asked if she can add me to her list. I suppose there can't be any harm in that. I just looked through the testimonials for my sister on Friendster, and apparently, Audrey's supposed to be quite hot, at least in her school. That's quite amusing, if vaguely disturbing. Heck, she's probably going to get attached before I do! That would be interesting. Anyway, God moves in mysterious ways. Perhaps my becoming treasurer in 2002 was to prepare me for my current post in CWC? Ms Ho is irritating. She has an opinion about everything, and she refuses to shut up about it. I mean, she makes it sound like such a big deal that club members have to help out at our stall on Sunday, when frankly most of us wouldn't give a damn about who doesn't show up. Now that I'm in the committee for CWC, I'm having second thoughts about being nominated for Faction. Should I withdraw if I'm shortlisted? From the way Ms Ho talks about the treasurer's job, it seems like I won't really have much to do apart from collecting funds and money from things like the occasional fundraising for CIP. Sigh, will think about this again if I get shortlisted for an interview.

Watched the rest of Pleasantville today, and Daniel is right. The ending is too utopian, but I guess that's because the crux of the movie is about the contrast between the black-and-white and coloured societies, not so much the problems that the coloured version brings. That subject can be dealt with in an entire separate movie. I liked the part where the sister (who coincidentally is named Jennifer) says that she'd done the whole slut thing, and she'd got tired of it. Oh, and I wish the people who knew would stop giving me that knowing smile! Haha, it's just so weird when you do that. Damn, it just occurred to me that I'm blogging more and more about this subject. I want things to change, and not just because change is the only constant. Would you understand? Perhaps.
