Had a headache from after school all the way until French. At least French wasn't so boring, we designed some inane personality test and wrote an essay on how we would govern a utopian society. I think I'm a control freak after writing that essay. Actually, today has been a wonderful day. One of those days when everything just goes right, and you want to pinch yourself because you think it's a dream but you don't really want to wake up. First up, my Oliver Twist practical criticism has reportedly done well. Mixed feelings on that one. I have a paradoxical inferiority complex, which stems from the fact that I fail to see why I'm as good as everyone tells me I am. I am not what you think I am. I am not what I think I am. I am what you think I think I am. Deep thoughts for a Monday night. Now I'm going to get ribbed when we get the essay back. Just lay off a bit, okay? I'm now very seriously considering failing the next essay on purpose, just for the heck of it. Then PE was touch rugby, but only after we'd whiled away about half an hour, because our teacher was timing the 2.4-km run. I'm going to die for that, and the irony is that I didn't use to fail it! Then I discovered I have an eye for tasteful fashion in earrings, or so my classmates tell me. We're making them for sale at the flea market I think. I also discovered this amazing fruit and vegetable juice, that contains strange stuff like gherkin and sauerkraut. It's got lime though, which sort of masks any other flavour, including the onions. During French, I found out I was a third prize winner (again) for French, Now I've just discovered I've been selected for the exchange programme, and my Guitar committee interview is tomorrow. Life is looking brighter than normal. I want this to become the new normal. I want to be, in the words of pseudo-punk Avril Lavigne, anything but ordinary please...
