Had a very interesting dinner earlier at Ikea. (Is that eye-kay-uh or ee-kay-uh?) Poached salmon, spring rolls and cheesecake. The cheesecake was lovely, considering it was cheap, relatively speaking. I feel like going back next week after church to eat there. I'll try the Swedish meatballs this time. I just found out that my cousin's written and recorded two songs. Wow. He sent them to my sister, because she chats with him online but I don't. Haven't heard them, but my dad thinks they're not bad. Another cousin's getting married. I feel so young. Actually, I am! I'm the third youngest grandchild on the paternal side, and the fifth youngest on the maternal side. Losing coherence right about now. Still can't do the stupid question in Tutorial 5B. Irritated because I'm so damn close to solving it. Argh! Screw homework... Listening to the Cornelius Mix of Sting's Moon Over Bourbon Street. It is weird, in a funky way. Reportedly, some people hate this mix, as they think it's utter rubbish and doesn't sound good at all. I beg to differ. Haha! I've also realised what's wrong with Era's self-titled debut. The sound isn't "big", which is why it lacks punch. By that I mean the music doesn't fill the ear the way songs like Fundamentum do. The layering of instruments is too thin to leave much of an impression. One tends to get the impression that Era started out more as a vocal showcase, whereas Lesiėm was trying to cash in on the New Age/Gregorian chant craze. Still, I shan't be too judgemental. I like them for different reasons. Think it's time to rotate Semantic Spaces back into my CD player... This week: Administrative Professionals Week® Library Week Volunteer Week National Park Week |
