Guitar concert was fun, which doesn't really encapsulate my feelings of elation at its end. Still, it was nice to perform in front of an audience. It was considerably less stressful than when performing with the choir back in RI. I think that speaks volumes about the type of culture in the CCAs. Ultimately, performances are about having fun. Sure, the audience pays you money to put up a good show, but what's the point if you're not having fun doing it? Not to say that choir concerts weren't fun, but I think they were too much about perfection, and too little about enjoying the experience of performing. Was quite sleepy throughout the whole concert actually, but it was well nigh impossible to nod off in the stuff stairwell of Ulu Pandan CC. Going home in a taxi was a fitting conclusion to the night, even though I did spill Coke all over my shirt while walking down the stairs. Sigh, CAP alumni meeting tomorrow. Will I be awake enough to attend? |
