Pecan Day/Bengali New Year (India)/Baisakhi (India)/World Grits Day/Vishu (India)
2004-04-14 @ 11:40 p.m.

Second time taking a cab back home this week, and I'm loving it! It gets me home in 20 minutes instead of an hour. That means I actually have a hope of finishing my practical criticism, because I don't have an extension as Mr Purvis was conspicuously absent from his desk when I went looking for him. Have slightly more ideas than yesterday, actually wrote two paragraphs during the practice. No matter though, I'm not too worried about this assignment. I need to cut myself some slack, because the standard I've set for myself in written work is distressingly high. It's enervating to strive towards a level of performance that you know you'll only hit thrice in a blue moon. Guitar today wasn't too bad, it was tiring, but soon it'll all be over, and I'm taking a break tomorrow anyway. I can't wait for the weekend! Oh, and Joshua's finally sent me some of the photographs we took at our cell group dinner in Holland Village, so now I have this really good-looking display picture! (Good-looking relative to what I normally look like at least.)
