Find A Rainbow Day/Circus Day/Chocolate Mousse Day/Daffodil Festival (Virginia)/Azalea Days Festival (Georgia)/Scottish Festival (Hawaii)/Mahavir Jayanti

"Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection, the lovers, the dreamers and me."

Feeling somewhat wistful today. Anyway, was watching Miss Singapore Universe 2004 earlier, and it struck me once more how ugly some of the contestants were. Why didn't the one who resembles Shu Qi make it to the final round? Tata Young was lying when she said everyone was "beautiful". Tata Young herself is pretty hot though! I love that song, the one where she goes on and on about "sexy, naughty, bitchy me". It's infectious bubblegum pop. She speaks flawless American, on account of her American dad. Hail the next global pop princess! Downloading some of her songs now...

We didn't have to go through auditions today! "Auditions" consisted of two seniors listening to us play La Playa, because Ms Pereira was too busy marking her GP Common Test scripts. Thank God for that, because I still can't get the running semiquavers in Dance Of The Yao. Can't quite decide whether I should play them at I or V position. We sound okay with the J1s from the secondary school ensembles, but alone, it gets pretty obvious that we can't play the song very well. It was weird though. Just before the instructor came in, we were trying to tidy up La Playa. Then he arrived, and we played it once through for him to hear, and he was like praising us for having improved. All a matter of perspective perhaps? Oh, should I go to the warehouse booksale tomorrow at Expo? I can't resist the chance to buy books at dirt-cheap prices compared to the stuff in Borders and Kinokuniya, but I don't think my dad will bring me. Maybe I'll disappear after YE...
