Pitchers Day
2004-03-29 @ 11:27 p.m.

Finally finished writing my part of the Pre-University Seminar paper, so now I can get down to my poetry. Need to finish at least two by tonight, so I won't die tomorrow trying to pen down more than half my portfolio at the last minute! Actually, that's what I did the year before last. I did get into CAP that year, so there's something to be said for last-minute work. I just can't find the right words and phrases to express what I'm thinking. I've got a list of titles at least, so I can focus my thoughts in those directions. I've been trying to write something since this afternoon, while stoning in the canteen waiting for Chernise to be done with her Chorale stuff. Too easily distracted by the conversation going on around me, which I was actively contributing to in any case. Then I was trying to write during French, but it's hard to keep one ear out for Mr Quenot in case he calls me, and then try to think at the same time. So I wrote a grand total of one stanza! I feel a bit hopeless right now...
