Vaish and I are arguing over whose class is more sociable and united. Vaish, there are enough debates in this world without you starting more! Haha, but I suppose our classes will evolve gradually over the two years to become nice classes in general? O2 is a flop. Forgive me for being blunt/critical/harsh/cynical, but what took place today was quite pathetic. Everyone involved contributed to the fiasco in their own ways. It can't be helped I guess, O2 is never quite the same as that for the first intake. On the bright side, the people who joined J'faien, Yvonne and Matthias, are nice! Yvonne's actually my ex-classmate from way back in primary school. Not bad, she still recognises me, whereas most people I know from back then have probably forgotten me. Matthias was doing Humanities at NJC, and if I'm not wrong he's applied to do it at RJC too. I wonder what they think of the rest of us? We were all stoning during O2, talking about escaping and stuff, but we didn't actually do anything. That was partly out of a mixture of pity for the O2 team, and because circumstances didn't permit it. (The public transport areas were supposedly being guarded by teachers, who incidentally weren't very committed to the task since we heard about an hour later that they'd left!) Things were more fun after we left though. Some of us were kind, so they stayed with Jensen for the duration of Jaxoras Monopoly. The rest of us went down to Orchard to eat and wait for them. Then we spontaneously decided to go to Hong Yi's house again! We proceeded to stone there because we were all damn tired and enervated by the boredom that is O2 so far. (Come on, even the second intake thinks that it's boring!) Our numbers dwindled to eight, and we ended up at Geláre in Far East Plaza. Blueberry cheesecake milkshake tastes weird. Perhaps the thickshake would have been better? I refuse to do any work, even though I had an abnormally long period of time to do it. I'm downloading Era MP3s now, and here's a not-so-subtle hint - I want all three of their albums (now). Take note all the people reading this! I can't believe Vaish has actually heard of Amethystium! I never thought I'd meet another person who had even heard of the kind of music I listen to. Rachel mentioning Delerium was surprising enough. I think my taste in music has taken the road less-travelled by Singapore teens. Was listening to Synaesthesia on the way to school, and I think the music lacks polish, like the early albums of Delerium. Maybe it's to do with the technology available, but the later albums just sound better, not so obviously sampled and looped. I'd like to make ambient music when I grow up. It can actually be quite formulaic, just like pop. Just look at Amethystium! I want to be the beneficiary of some rich guy's will, so I'll have the money to buy all the music I've wanted, want, and will ever want! Wants are powerful things, so Economics tells us... |
