St. Urho's Day/Curlew Day
2004-03-16 @ 11:58 p.m.

I just came home, and I think I'm going to be grounded if I continue coming home from gatherings at midnight. Not that I really care about getting grounded anymore. The Rainbow Connection is such a nice song! Kermit the Frog sang it on The Muppets movie, but there've been several covers done. I think I still like how it sounded at Chernise's house, when we were singing in front of her piano. It was altogether an amusing class gathering. We were waiting for two people for over an hour, so Yi-Xun, who'd been driven to Jalan Kayu, had to wait all by himself for over an hour. I trust he had fun staring at whoever happened to cross his path. Considering the remoteness of that place, he should have been ecstatic to see us arriving. Garlic pratas are yummy! The ice-cream prata looks like a banana split without the banana. If only the place wasn't so inaccessible, I'd go there to eat more often.

Things really got interesting when the clouds started gathering overhead. Apply Murphy's Law! We were trudging through the rain to the bus stop, when our bus conveniently pulled up! So we dashed madly to the stop. Why couldn't it have rained just 10 minutes later? Still, we all did get to her house in one piece. Chernise's house is fascinating, in the way most private houses are. The decor is very exquisite, perhaps its just about money when it comes to decor. I don't know about whether it'd be good for living in though Daniel, but I think such houses have their own charm in some way. Don't be too disturbed by your apple crumble (though I did point out it was salty), it was just an oversight. You'll make a better one at our next gathering, okay? Sigh, I think I'd better go to sleep, or my mum'll be giving me the evil eye the next time I tell her I'm going out...
