Uranus Day/Maple Festival (Connecticut)
2004-03-13 @ 5:16 p.m.

Going off to Holland Village soon to meet my cell group for dinner. The meeting for Pre-University Seminar was interesting. It ended around noon, which basically meant Daniel couldn't go for Guitar. (To Daniel: I told you not to bring your guitar!) Anyway, we had a fruitful discussion on the paper we're to write. Some people just irritate the hell out of me. Nothing personal, it's just the way they talk and try to make their point. Maybe I'm too sensitive, but I dislike people who're too antagonistic in their arguments. Debaters, please don't crucify me, but some of you have a tendency to do that, perhaps unconsciously. Not every discussion is about building a case! There, I feel better now that I've typed that. Anyway, I ended up writing part of the proposal, and then now I'm presumably going to be writing part of the essay too. I don't really mind, since I picked the part that I'm interested in. Yet why does everyone assume that my English is good just because I can write three decent essays? Maybe I shouldn't have worded the definition of globalisation and social cohesion? I think I like manipulating words to prove I'm can do it. I hope I'm good at it. Am I really? I'm not sure if I really want to find out...
