Strawberry Ice Cream Day/Pongal (India)/Makar Sankranti (India)/Basketball Day
2004-01-15 @ 11:06 p.m.

Singapore Polytechnic just sent me this huge magazine about the polytechnic. I'm quite impressed, I think the students there have more freedom than us JC students! Doris is somewhere in the magazine. YE people, do you want to see the magazine on Sunday? I'll bring it down and show you. So funny! I'm beginning to detest my History lecturer, simply because he's giving us the most handouts and making us cough up exorbitant sums of money to print them. We're all paying $50 each tomorrow, because we're already in debt according to our treasurer Daniel. Can you imagine someone printing the Powerpoint slides of the introductory lecture? At least he admitted he was taking the liberty of doing that. I think my lecturer is a narcissist. He like stamps his name on every single handout, and it always says that it's prepared by him. I like my CT though, even if his brand of humour is slightly bizarre at times. I'm doing my tutorial right now actually, because I don't want to read my international history notes. Did I mention that the guy who did the Britney impersonation at Orientation Nite happens to be my neighbour? I saw him at the bus stop a few days ago. Anyway, I need to go finish up the tutorial, hopefully I'll finish before my tutorial session in the afternoon. Oh, and my Chinese teacher is damn freaky! She came into class, glared at us, and the first thing she did was scream at us and deliver a sharp scolding. Not a very good entrance, if I do say so myself. Left after we filled in the form declaring our A1s and A2s in Higher Chinese last year, but the girls say that she's a nice person, as in she's the kind of teacher who'll really work her ass off to help you improve if you really need help and ask for it. Maybe I'll like sit in on her lessons sometime? She still regards everyone as her student, even if we're not taking Chinese, so I suppose it couldn't hurt. Sigh, still need to get more money to buy my French books...
