Admission Day (Iowa)/Card Playing Day/Holiday Breather Day/Chocolate Day
2003-12-28 @ 10:10 p.m.

Today's party was fairly successful, but it wasn't really a surprise per se. It's all the Sunday School's fault! We were about to sing Friends for Doris and Jairus, but they needed to use the room for Sunday School worship. Such a waste! So sad to see them leave YE, but we must all move on yeah? Thanks to all the people who stayed back to clean up! Argh, I just realised that I'm supposed to be going out with some of the YE people on Tuesday, but my class gathering is on that day too! I'm so screwed up. I knew I had something on this Tuesday. I'll figure something out, eventually. I'm going back to my Latin lessons, as everyone's blogs are so boring these days. Nobody's posting any entertaining news anymore! I went back to the library yesterday, and I came across Teach Yourself Advanced French. I was tempted to pick it up, but I figured I'm good enough. It did say that the book was meant for people who can read and write French, but haven't reached the stage of reading novels and such. Well, I'd like to think I can do that already with some measure of comprehension! Maybe I'll go pick up one of the books on French slang...

My sister was chatting online earlier with one of our cousins. Quite weird if you ask me, considering we don't see him very often, something like twice a year. Once at Chinese New Year, once at Christmas. I'm thinking of buying a portable MP3 player, either the Creative's Nomad Jukebox or Apple's iPod. I'll most probably go for the former, and here's the reason why. Frankly, I don't see anything terribly unique about the iPod. The iPod is ridiculously expensive compared to the Nomad Jukebox. The cheapest iPod has 10GB storage space and costs $588. The most expensive Nomad Jukebox has 30GB storage space and costs $499, if you order online. The conclusion is obviously that the most expensive player from Creative is still cheaper than the cheapest player from Apple. Unless someone can give me a damn good reason why I should buy the iPod, I say screw Apple...
