It turns out I was wrong about the trip to James Bond Island, which was only christened that in 1974 for your information. We went there today, and now I'm dead beat. It's the Eco-Tour that we're giving a miss. Ironically, what was billed as a trip to James Bond Island involved no more than 30 minutes on said island, mostly spent taking photographs. Shopping there was out of the question, since the place is purely a tourist attraction and as such they're out to get your money. Most of the stuff is either fake, over-priced, or both. All in all, I think we spent four times as much time travelling as we spent on the island. My hair gel withstood the sea breezes surprisingly well. Anyway, the best part of the trip was when we went canoeing in the caves. I was with this Irishman. Nice guy, taking photographs with a total stranger like me. Basically, the caves are just a series of natural rock formations, cliffs on the outside and trees on the inside. Then on the way back to Phang Nga, the long-tail boat we were in broke down. So we ended up floating and drifting aimlessly in the water, waiting for repairs to be completed. The couple sitting in front of me were Frenching the whole time. Like get a room already...
