National Day (Benin)/St. Andrew's Day/Advent/John F. Kennedy Day (Massachusetts)/Computer Security Day/Independence Day (Barbados)/Independence Day (Yemen)
2003-11-30 @ 11:52 p.m.

The confirmation service went very smoothly, so I did get to the dinner before 6.45 pm. In fact, I was very early, considering the actual programme was projected to begin at 7.45 pm. Anyway, I thought the assistant bishop gave a very good sermon today. At least I was actually listening with more than just a vague interest. Admittedly, it was rather fascinating to watch him spend the first few minutes of the sermon talking and trying to button his cuff at the same time. You know the wine that we dip the wafer in for Holy Communion? The overall effect is quite tasteless I must say. I wonder how strong the wine is though, because I saw the Reverends finishing what was left in the chalice. Do they ever get a little tipsy from drinking all that at once? I suppose not. So graduation dinner was quite fun, all things considered. The food was interesting, I think I still liked the dessert the best. There was cheesecake! I love cheesecake! After looking at the kind of prizes for the lucky draw, I must say there are damn rich parents out there sponsoring such things! I'm surprised that Mrs Smith didn't remark on my dyed hair. She just wanted to capture it on digital camera for posterity. I must say some of the guys were quite slow though, they didn't notice the dyed hair until like 10 minutes after I arrived in their midst. Talk about being unobservant! Chester's highlighted hair is quite interesting, but it cost him $50, so I don't think it's worth it just highlighting. After finally seeing Yi-Xun's hair, I understand why his dad is irked...
