International Pickle Festival (New York)/Jukebox Day/Eat A Cranberry Day/Birthday Of The King Of Horror
2003-11-23 @ 11:50 p.m.

I've got the hang of the conventions mentioned yesterday, and I think I can use them with some success. Fine, make that varying degrees of success. I think I'll pick up a few more this week and try incorporating them into my bidding. Why is it that my life is more boring than ever after the 'O's? I need a life, maybe I should go ask some winner like Chester how to get one? Haha, then I'll get to poke fun at him again! Yes, it's very sad that I've been reduced to poking fun at Chester for my amusement. I want to go book-hunting on Tuesday, but I need cash. Plenty of it, because I'm buying everything that I want if I can help it. I'm going to start collecting the Dune series now. I think $50 should cover the basics for now, give or take a book or two. I'll definitely be lectured on the value of money again, which is really pointless. Look at it this way, someone who doesn't earn money, frankly speaking, isn't going to really appreciate the value of money. At least that's what I feel. I don't think I spend a lot anyway! I'm going to dye my hair brown I think, and my parents don't seem to mind. In fact, I think I'm more worried about how people will react than they are! Maybe I should start wearing metal chains, but I just saw them at Northpoint and they're priced at $100 and above. Maybe I should have told them I really wanted to dye my hair green or blue, not just plain brown. I could self-dye though, and blend some unusual tint for fun. I need to cut my hair first though, because I'm only dyeing it after the confirmation service next Sunday. I don't think my pastor would appreciate seeing brown hair on someone my age, let alone green or blue! So I need to cut my hair tomorrow or on Tuesday, so that it'll grow long enough to dye before I leave for Phuket. Then I need to find time to dye it back to black. Maybe I can claim my hair got bleached by chlorinated swimming pool water!

Today was a damn weird day. Well, to start off, there was no car to drive me around, which really sucks because I've realised that I'm like totally dependent on the car. I hate public transport, because it's almost always crowded when I'm taking it. Then 10 minutes before the Games Day for Youth Explorer was supposed to start, I found out my cell was actually supposed to be in charge of planning! That was kind of screwed up, since we only finished our 'O's on Thursday. So a bunch of us came up with the games in that 10 minutes! Kudos to all of us! It wasn't that bad right? I miss leading worship, I like leading worship! I don't like how my voice sounds on the microphone though, I think it sounds awful. Okay, then I did go into service, because I felt guilty about missing it when I really had no business not going in after my papers are all over. I missed the worship though, because I was listening to Shirley trying to persuade the girls to go for the Youth Ministry camp this December. I think they're 10 people from Youth Explorer going, which is kind of pathetic. I think the girls outnumber the guys two to one. Anyone out there wants to go? You'll get to see me, if that's any incentive. It should be, because I'm such a nice guy. Who doesn't like a nice guy, right? Now that's an unashamed self-plug! Seriously though, just go if you're free, it's from 20 to 23 December. I'm feeling very bored right now, and I still haven't written out the Latin exercices. I really should, I'm starting to get the hang of it. Then again, it's only Unit 2 of 31, so perhaps I shouldn't get too elated just yet...
