I'm starting to learn a few conventions for contract bridge, namely Stayman, Roman Keycard Blackwood and Baby Blackwood. I finally decided to get around to picking up some of the more popular conventions, because I've got plenty of time, as I pointed out yesterday. I keep staring at the Latin book, but I just can't bring myself to write out the answers to the first exercice. Guess I'm really too lazy these days to do much! I'd do it tomorrow afternoon, except I think I should go in for the church main service, seeing as I've got no excuse now, not even holiday homework! Maybe I'll go back to reading this collection of Shakespeare's plays that I bought when I was in primary school. The pages are all yellowed with age, and the print's horribly small, so I might just go blind someday. I wanted to buy this cool book in Times today, it's the complete works of Shakespeare, bound in one complete volume. It looks damn nice, but it costs around $77. I wanted to buy it, but my dad was like, "There's no car today, yet you still want to buy such a heavy book?" Then during dinner, "On Tuesday, we'll come back to buy more stuff, then you can buy your book." I'm like, what's the difference? The only reason he's buying it is because he feels it's a worthwhile investment, since I'm taking Literature as an 'A' Level subject. I suspect that that's going to be my Christmas gift from him though...
