Damn, I lost like between five and 10 marks for Biology. I think it's my worst subject so far, not counting Social Studies. Even my Physics paper wasn't as bad. By the way, in case you're wondering, amylase is the "lock" and starch is the "key" in the lock-and-key hypothesis of enzymatic action. So that means Yee Onn and Brian are wrong. Congratulations Teck Tee, we're correct. If you don't believe me, go look it up online. Let me explain why I'm sticking to my answer. Think about it, if the enzyme is not the key, you can't use the lock-and-key hypothesis to explain inhibition of enzyme action nor the role of coenzymes. Put it this way, inhibition would involve a "false key" that fits the "lock", but can't unlock it. A coenzyme would thus be like a second "key" needed to unlock a "double-locked" enzyme. Confused? No matter, it's such a measly percentage of the total marks anyway. I'm mugging Chemistry now, mainly because despite all my cunning skill at Chemistry, I still can't guarantee an A1 just like that. Anyway, it'd be kind of sad to not do well for Chemistry, especially after all the coffee Mr Ong bought for our class. I hope Chemistry turns out to be the easiest of the three sciences, it might be no kick, but I need a break. All things considered, the end's only six days away, a pity about Geography. I suppose I could force myself to be serious for another week? Oh, and go check out this CD called The Piano Player by Maksim, this Croatian guy. He did for the piano what Vanessa Mae did for the violin! I saw the music video for his song Exodus on MTV today, and he doesn't look like a pianist. Seriously, he looks more like some popstar. I tried burning his songs just now, but the burner hung after the sixth song, so I guess I'll just have to go and buy the album. Someone buy it for me!
