Today's graduation ceremony marked the official end of my schooldays in Raffles Institution. While there's a sense of nostalgia at the thought that I'll be leaving after four years, I don't find it something to be sad about. Put it this way, we all have to move on eventually, so there's no point dwelling on all the things you didn't do but could have done, and getting yourself upset in the process. Look on the bright side! You're moving on to a new stage of your life. You're going to meet more people, make more friends, and hopefully grow up a little, literally or otherwise. Change is inevitable, so why fight it? Just go with the flow, and you'll be a lot happier that way. To all my friends taking the 'O's, good luck to all of you! Till we meet again, remember these words for the time being.

"And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say 'Never'
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends"
