Surprise! I did some work today, but still not enough to cover all my papers, five of which are due this Wednesday, so tomorrow is going to be one of the worst days ever. I think there's French too, so there goes the afternoon. At least I'll taste coffee again after two months, sweet coffee gliding down my throat. I'm damn bored right now, sitting at the computer yawning away with my Higher Chinese homework in front of me, still undone as usual! I shouldn't have wasted the afternoon playing desktop games, but I couldn't resist turning on the computer. In other news, our teacher was much nicer to us today. She has finally realised that she can't break us, so she might as well soften a little, or she'll end up with a bunch of students who hate her guts! It was pretty obvious she'd softened, because she only punished one guy today - Yi-Xun, in case you're wondering. She didn't pick on anyone at all during the lesson, a fact noted by several people immediately after the lesson had ended. During lunch with Chester, Hanrong and Teck Tee, we somehow ended up talking about our ambitions, with Chester griping that he was the only one without one. I want to be a teacher, at leat at this point in time. Nothing to do with being noble and giving back something to society, I want to teach because I want to see what it's like being on the other side at school. I wouldn't mind becoming a musician, think all those people on mp3.com. The only obstacle is, in my opinion, my lack of formal training in music beyond Grade 5 Piano. I want to compose New Age or ambient music, because a large part of the music I'm listening to these days comes from those two genres. I could try my hand at singing, but there's no such thing as Singpore Idol! Too bad, it's the world's loss... |
