Bring Your Teddy Bear To Work & School Day/Cotton Festival (Louisiana)/Tube Top Day/Autumn Glory Festival (Maryland)
2003-10-08 @ 6:26 p.m.

Currently feeling very guilty for having finished a third of a tub of ice-cream, all by myself. It was good though, while it lasted. French orals today weren't too bad, considering I hadn't the foggiest idea what to say about my neighbourhood! Mr Quenot is cunning, he even asked a question about the latest neighbours' spat, between the Tays and the Yeos. Anyway, I've just finished Tolkien's Unfinished Tales. I was going to spend the afternoon before dinner doing my Additional Mathematics practice paper, but I ended up reading this Chinese book that I picked up earlier during the term. Presently, I'm ploughing through The Witching Hour once more, and contemplating why exactly did incestuous inbreeding strengthen the Mayfair bloodline, instead of weakening it. No, I'm not abandoning the Calvino book, just shelving it until the last moment when I'll end up having to renew it. As for the Teach Yourself Italian set of books, I'm seriously considering photocopying the whole damned thing, because I sure as hell won't be getting the money I need to buy them anytime soon. Not to mention I want the Latin one too, and possibly the French ones just in case I forget all of it when I get older. Then again, photocopying three, and possibly five whole books is a laborious process and no laughing matter. Maybe I should just open my mouth and ask for the money, and go to Amazon.com and order it. An early Christmas present, perhaps? It'll be a very expensive present though, to the tune of a few hundred bucks...
