Autumnal Equinox (Japan)/Chocolate Day/Neptune Day
2003-09-23 @ 10:07 p.m.

Nothing much happened today while I was at home. I watched a movie, Carriers, based on some book by Patrick Lynch, who doesn't exist. It's a pseudonym apparently. The show isn't quite your typical medical thriller about some fatal haemorrhagic fever, because there isn't a lot of blood and gore shown. Although the eyeballs of the victims look fairly reptilian if you ask me, quite a disturbing sight. Red streaks over the sclerae do not exactly contribute to a sense of peace of mind. I liked the idea that they genetically engineered a human to become the host for the virus, with a specific natural trigger in the form of some berry. Highly plausible, give today's technology. It's only a matter of time before someone actually does it, if they haven't already! Be afraid, be very afraid. I swear that fictional virus made Ebola look tame, what with the speed at which it killed people. Incidentally, you should all go pay a visit to www.highiqsociety.org. It's quite interesting, although your test scores might vary a lot depending on which test you take. I got 150 on the 12-Minute IQ Test! That makes me highly gifted, which is just fine. Being told that I'm profoundly gifted or a genius would be quite an overwhelming discovery at this point. I'll settle for highly gifted. I wonder how accurate this is though...

On the musical front, I've given up on techno, moving into trance now. I think trance[]control sounds damn good! Maybe I might go and pick up another Jars Of Clay CD tomorrow. Too tired to try and download all the rare non-album tracks. Only managed about 10 yesterday, was going to do the rest this afternoon but I ended watching a movie and downloading trance[]control! Seriously, go listen to them. Almost all their music is free, which is something that I really like, because I can't afford to go around buying every CD on mp3.com that I want to try. Now that the record industry is suing everyone, I don't touch Kazaa unless I absolutely have to, like for looking for Jars Of Clay songs. I feel inspired to become a musician! I wish I could play the violin, or at least play the piano well. Then again, a synthesiser would do just fine. Anyone wants to donate to the Buy Ian a Synthesiser Fund? I'll go set one up if you want to donate. Just let me know, okay?
