I confess, I didn't do much today. So there goes my Literature A1, which is quite sad, because if I had had that bit more of good old self-discipline, I'd have done something for Literature by now. As it stands, I'm sort of familiar with my short stories. That's it. Never mind, I shall revert back to my previous lackadaisical attitude. On atavism the machine can have no mercy! So I guess that means I can't fit into society. That would really make my day. Anyway, I've been listening to this group called The Synthetic Dream Foundation. Nothing spectacular about them in my opinion, haven't heard anything that grabbed me by the neck yet. I also came across Grey Area, but there were only three songs at mp3.com, so I'll reserve judgement for now. I guess electronica still goes down better with me? I was searching for techno MP3s at mp3.com, but nothing appealed to me. I hate names that aren't properly spelled, or have weird capitalisation. It's irrational, but I can't help it. I can't wait for all my papers to be over, so I can go out and stone around in the streets...

I just watched a movie called Thirst. Lame title, but fairly believable if somewhat sketchy plot. Basically, it's about an epidemic of cryptosporidiosis that occurs in some city due to a contaminated water supply. Ironically, after spending over one hour trying to find a solution, the protagonist finds the solution was staring him in the face the whole time - ozonation, a feature of a water treatment plant that was supposed to be constructed but was put on hold when the mayor siphoned off funds to build a technology park. I say sketchy because it's never really clear where exactly the Cryptosporidium came from! You just get quirky images of the protozoa swimming around in the water. Before that, I watched something called Temptations, Mediacorp's attempt at dissuading teenagers from turning to drugs. My God, it was pathetic. They had three changes of scene in the first five minutes! They just threw a few local celebrities in, gave them stilted lines, and expected the anti-abuse spiel to somehow infiltrate the viewers' minds. Frankly speaking, that half-hour programme wouldn't have stopped anyone from taking drugs. I think they just put it there to fill the slot. I'm planning on recording The Haunting tomorrow. It looks interesting, and I'll have nothing much to do come Monday after I get home, since I don't have much of a life right now. Anyone has one for sale, by any chance?
