Applefest (Minnesota)/Laundry Day/Bean Festival (Ohio)/Pumpkin Festival (Michigan)/Festival Of Pines (Michigan)/Sunflower Festival (Enderlin)/Scallop Festival (Massachusetts)

I declare that strawberry cheesecake ice-cream is absolutely delicious! I just ried it for the first time today, and I'm hooked. Indeed, today has a been a day of indulgence. Basically, I stoned around the house the whole afternoon and didn't so much as glance at my poems or short stories, which sort of means I'm dead come Monday. The minute I came home after lunch, I was on the computer. I only took a break from about 7 to 8 pm to watch some television. I've played online bridge, hearts, scrabble and spades. I even read a book, albeit it was just one chapter of a Chinese book, but it's been ever such a long time since I read something which wasn't remotely related to my studies. Speaking of which, I need to get to the library and borrow The Vampire Lestat. I don't really think it's as interesting as some of the other books sound, but being the completist that I am, I must read it. I would go and buy the entire series, which would occupy one entire bookshelf in my room. Unfortunately, I'm cash-strapped and I haven't attracted any sponsorship offers lately, and my parents would give me hell for reading that kind of stuff. On the other hand, I did get $100 yesterday, and I haven't decided how to spend it yet. I'm not supposed to be buying CDs, but I suppose Christian music will be fine. At least my dad would think so, and that's all that matters when it comes to my spending of money. I might as well go and buy a book though, in preparation for either the three-month holiday I'll be having come 2004, or two years of JC life where I'll stone away everyday. Hey, that rhymes! Maybe I should write a poem now, after all, it's Literature on Monday. The touch was on the quick, on my texts that is, I don't want to forget...
