Waffle Day/Can Opener Day
2003-08-24 @ 11:11 p.m.

I've realised that my entries are starting to revolve too much about school, so this entry will be about anything but school. Lunch today was fun, I went to Vila'ge, this rustic looking restaurant somewhere in Chinatown, or just outside it anyway. They give you this card, and to order you just scan the card. You pay only when you're leaving. It's an ingenious business tactic, you're basically encouraged to buy, buy and buy, because you don't have to pay for it immediately, it won't hit you at first how much you've spent! They clear your plates and cutlery awfully quickly too, so you won't realise how much you've eaten, because the table will look so bare and empty. That said, the food isn't all that bad, I liked the salmon steak, just that I had to debone it myself, which wasn't much fun. I liked the tiramisu cake too, although I wouldn't have minded eating more ice-cream. It was Mövenpick, Swiss ice-cream. The drinks were pathetic though, I mean, what kind of a mocktail is orange juice mixed with grenadine syrup?
